‘Paranormal Activity’ - it’s only worth watching it if you have some good headphones and you’re alone in your room at night. Otherwise, it won’t work.
‘In The Loop’ - one of the best movies of 2009. It’ll make you laugh and cry at the same time: pathetic and real.

‘The Sopranos’ - Season 5 & 6 (sad to finish this great series)

Merry Christmas everyone!

District 9 - This has turned into one of my favourite films in a very long time. I can’t believe two of the best Sci-fi films have come out just this year.  Moon is the other.  Both incredible.

Went to the Cinema for the first time in ages on Saturday to see Avatar 3D. It had sold out, so went to see Sherlock Holmes instead.

Robert Downey Jr was absolutely brilliant in it. A very good film. Highly recommended.

Totally agree. Weird, funny, dramatic, colorful, moving… an unusual brilliant directorial debut from actor Liev Schreiber (‘Scream’ trilogy, ‘Kate & Leopold’, ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’...).

‘Carriers’ - a little nice surprise. Actually, it’s more a serious drama about the human being than a horror movie about a deadly virus.

Then you should try ‘The Changeling’ (1980) by Peter Medak. It’s a classic ghost story.  wink

Last watched:

‘Avatar’ - my friends forced me XD Nice tech demo but plain movie
‘The Hurt Locker’ - another reason (among thousands and thousands) why ‘Avatar’ shouldn’t win the Oscar for ‘Best Movie’
‘Coraline’ - a good choice for a double-feature with ‘Where The Wild Things Are’: movies about children that are not childish at all
‘Star Trek’ (2009) - a pop-corn movie. Nothing else
‘One Point 0’ - a nice Kafkaesque sci-fi movie about paranoia, marketing corporations…
‘JCVD’ - a funny and entertaining false biopic about Jean Claude Van Damme’s life
‘Behind The Mask - The Rise Of Leslie Vernon’ - a little surprise. False documentary about how a serial-killer is created. It’s funny how mix up the rules of the slasher movies
‘My Bloody Valentine 3D’ - bloody painful (no pun intended)... but I knew that before watch this crap
‘The American Nightmare’ - an interesting documentary about the nature of 1960’s-70’s horror films (‘Night Of The Living Dead’, ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, ‘Halloween’, ‘Last House On The Left’, ‘Dawn Of The Dead’...), the involved artists, and how they reflected contemporary society

‘The Wire’ - Season 1 (heaven in the TV)

I watched War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise. I expected this to be closer to the original movie but surprisingly this turned out to be closer to Wells novel. The crafts reminded me of the classic TV Series The Tripods, I thought that was pretty cool. The rest was a little too gloomy for my taste. Oh yeah, I also finally got around to watching Stop! Or my mom will shoot. Nope, Im not embarrassed to say lol…and whats even more embarrassing the move was actually pretty funny IMO. smile

I expect to be shot to the ground for this - but i *loved* it

‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’ (aka: Banksys film!!)

I am a bit mad over UK street art / graffiti, but this was funny / insightful and definitely the best 87 minutes Ive spent in the cinema recently!

(Jasper went to see Alice in Wonderland (because he hates the banksy concept) and hated it, so ha!)

Wish i was at SxSW for the films / music tho :(
