Piers’ Blog. Album out now. Google Hangout time…

Finally, we have arrived. The birthing of another Boxer baby today is the day ‘Promises’ wormed it’s way out there. It’s been great hearing about people’s anticipation and enjoyment at the release of all this. Trust me it’s even more exciting for us and we’re so pleased so many people are loving it. The album has been out there for a couple of weeks for streaming, which is great – the more people can hear this album the better – we’ve put the album on Youtube for those who wish to give it another spin.

On top of all that, because we feel like it, we’re going to host a Google Hangout to answer questions about the album, and have a hang out with you guys, of sorts, tomorrow on Wednesday. Ask us anything you like (within reason!), and we’ll get involved online and answer you. Just email us @ theboxerrebellion@gmail.com or ask a question on Twitter using the hashtag @boxerhangout. We’re also picking a few of you to participate on the Hangout which will be streamed via Youtube.

And in case you’d forgotten, which I’m sure you hadn’t, we are going to be out and about a lot this year with gigs, so get yourself to the website and check out our tour dates. We’d love you to spend an evening with us. Our tour in Canada and America starts NEXT WEEK! We are really looking forward to these, and seeing loads of you there.

Thank you for being involved thus far. Keep doing what you’re doing with the album.

Buy it, listen to it, share it and let’s see if we can chart it.

Happy Tuesday.

I bought the new album off iTunes today and I can’t stop listening to it! It’s tough to pick a favourite but I might even hazard to say that this is your best album yet!! Well done fellows!
Can’t wait to see you guys at the Electric Owl on the 31st! I’ll make sure to stick around to chat when your set is done.

    You guys are awesome!

    Hi guys,

Congratulations on the release of Promises. I streamed it last week on KCRW and loved it, of course, just as I have all your previous albums. I am going to purchase it now.

I had the pleasure of meeting each of you after your show at Slim’s in San Francisco on The Cold Still tour. You were kind enough to sign my CD of the album and could not have been a nicer bunch.

Your songs are so thoughtfully composed and incredibly inspiring. Every person I have told to listen to your music has become a fan, and for good reason – you’re fantastic!

I wish you all the great success you deserve with Promises and hope to see you when you return to San Francisco in a few weeks.

Keep up the brilliance and never stop believing in your mission and the joy you bring to your fans.

    All the best!

I received my signed copy just now, I’m listening to it as we speak. Wonderful, wonderful stuff, guys. Can’t wait to see you in Amsterdam! Much love.

I only knew about this band from Spotify, but this latest release just is beyond incredible. Every.Single.Song. That’s pretty much unheard of. This seems like U2 and Coldplay smooshed together, which is never a bad concoction! Marvelous! ‘Diamonds’ is my favorite…for now!

I picked up my vinyl copy of Promises the day it came out and am even more taken with it than your past releases (something I thought I would never say!). So layered and beautiful.

My wife and I saw you guys live for the first time last night in Edmonton at Starlite, and were blown away. Even got the chance to meet a few of you before and after the set. You fellas are the real deal. Class acts. My only regret was that I neglected to bring my LP with me to have signed….a mistake I will not repeat next time!

Best of luck on the rest of the tour, and with what I condsider to be your finest records to date. Thank you again for your inspiring, incredible work. I haven’t been able to wipe the smile off of my face all morning.
